Mrs. Oberlin had not been in good health for some time and had been receiving treatment in the office of a local physician on Friday afternoon, when she was stricken with an attack of paralysis. She was removed to the family home at Cooks Corners and on Saturday afternoon it was decided to have her cared for at the hospital and death came as she was being carried into that institution. Mrs. Oberlin had been a resident of this community and city for the greater part of her life and was a woman whom it was a pleasure to meet and she has a host of friends will be grieved, deeply, to learn of her death. Surviving are the husband, Otto; a son, Raymond Russell, with the army in England, and a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Parker of Howell. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Clinton Everts, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating and burial was in Otisco cemetery. Pallbearers were Otto, Orrin, Oscar and Edgar Oberlin, Frank Anderson and D.S. Person.
