Ionia County News (Pg. 4) Thursday, Aug. 27, 1936

Ferris Oberlin, 41, a resident here since a young man, died at his home here 
Friday night after a long illness. He leaves the widow, Ruth, and two 
daughters, Elaine 15, and Ola 11; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Balcom of this 
city, Mrs. Beryl Hull of Muskegon and Mrs. Clarence Schwader of Lowell; and one 
brother, Edgar Oberlin, of Belding. Funeral services were at the Church of God 
Sunday afternoon and burial was in River Ridge cemetery.
