                              JENNIE E. OBERLIN

Jennie E. Oberlin, age 91, died in Greenville Hospital Saturday. She resided at 
7182 Storey Rd., and had been an area resident for the past 49 years.

Born in Branch County, April 4, 1874, she was married on her birthday in 1893 to 
J.Charles Oberlin who died in 1951.

Her survivors include two daughters,Mrs.Clarence (Verba) Schwader, R-1, Belding 
and Mrs.Ralph (Una) Balcome, Belding; one son Edgar E.Oberlin, Belding; one 
brother, Irvin Taylor, R-4, Bronson; seven grandchildren,; 18 great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One daughter and two sons preceded her in death, Mrs.Beryl (Vera) Hull who died 
in 1963; Ferris Oberlin who died in 1936 and Verl Oberlin who died in 1917.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Huffman Funeral Home with the 
Rev. Robert Lilley of First Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in River 
Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Henry Covey, Lyle Ward, Charlie Sayers, Jack Oberlin, Elon 
Oberlin, Charles Balcome.
