Ionia County News, 30 Mar 1933

Mrs. Susan Oberson was born 87 years ago in Hancock county, Ohio, and came here
in 1866 with her parents.  Eighteen years ago, after Mr. Oberson’s death, she
went to live with her son, Samuel, at Royal Oak, Mich., where she died Saturday,
Marcy 25.  She leaves another son, Howard, of Lake Odessa, and one grandchild,
two brothers, Fremont and Hamilton Walter, of this place.  The funeral was held
from the Saranac Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2:30 .  Rev. F.P. Frye
officiated and burial was in the Saranac cemetery.
