Oberson, 89, a retired building contractor, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. Charles Dunbar will officiate. Mr. Oberson died Monday evening at Sparrow hospital in Lansing after an illness of two months. Born near Lake Odessa, April 9, 1882, he was the son of John and Susan Walters Oberson. He had formerly lived in Lansing and Detroit. He was among the first to build a home in 1938 on Eagle Point at Lake Odessa and following his retirement from Capitol City Lumber company in Lansing, 24 years ago, he made his permanent home there. His wife, the former Blanche M. Klopfenstein, died December 12, 1968. surviving are a son, Richard of Lansing, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter. Committal services will be at the chapel and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
