Patrick C. O’Brien, age 57, of Carson City, passed away Sunday, October 22, 
2006 at the Carson City Hospital.  Patrick was born July 26, 1949 the son of 
James and Marjorie (Witchel) O’Brien in Carson City.  He graduated from Carson 
City High School.  Patrick married Gail Miller on March 20, 1971 at St. Peter 
and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia.

He retired from GMC in Lansing.  Patrick was a member of the St. John the 
Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston, Knights of Columbus, the Fish Creek 
Sportsman Club and the NRA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, 
camping and farming, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Gail of Carson City, two children, Patrick (Erin) 
O’Brien of Carson City, Jody O’Brien of Carson City, three grandchildren, 
August, Shaymus and Abigail, his mother, Marjorie O’Brien-Barlett of Crystal.  
Also two sisters, Julie (Tyrone) Booker of Washington, Mary (Mike) Cashen of 
Hubbardston, and a brother, Mike (Stella) O’Brien of Arizona.  Patrick was 
preceded in death by his father James.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 1 p.m. at St. 
John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston with Father Tom Thompson 
officiating.  Interment will be in at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Fowler.  
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 
the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City and from noon to 1 p.m. 
Wednesday at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be 
made to the wish of the family.
