                 Bertha O'Brien, of Hubbardston Dies in Detroit

HUBBARDSTON- August 28. - Residents of this village were saddened at noon 
Friday by news of the death of Miss Bertha O'Brien at the Providence hospital 
at Detroit Friday  morning. Miss O'Brien, passed away three weeks ago. At that 
time she had just returned from the hospital. Following the death of her mother 
she went to Detroit and underwent an operation Thursday.

Miss O'Brien was 35 years of age. She is survived by an aged father, Michael 
O'Brien, who is 83; two sisters, Sister Fidelis, a Dominican nun, and Mrs. 
James Farrell, of Detroit; three brothers, Rev. Fr. James O'Brien, of 
Hubbardston.

The remains will be brought from Detroit Saturday, and the funeral will be held 
at St. Johns church Monday morning at 9:30.
