O達ryon, aged 87, passed away suddenly at his home on S. Bridge street after an illness of five days. He had been in fairly good health until a few weeks ago. Charles G. O達ryon was born in Charlotte, July 6, 1851. He came to Belding in 1874 where, the same year, he married Miss Anna L. Watson. Mr. O達ryon was a shoe maker by trade, later becoming a grocer and dry goods merchant. At one time he worked as a clerk in the store of the late Henry J. Leonard. The O達ryons had three children: Grace who passed away in 1901; Ella French of New Haven, Conn., and W. Frank O達ryon of Grand Rapids. Surviving also are six grandchildren: Donald E. Pilkinton, of Flint; Mrs. Owen Reynolds, of Wheaton, Illinois; Mrs. J. D. McLaren, of New Haven, Conn.; John Earle French, of San Diego, Calif.; C. Austin O達ryon, of Grand Rapids; Tom Watson O達ryon, of Chicago; four great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Potter of Greenville. Mrs. O達ryon passed away January 12, 1932. Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 27 at the Fales funeral home, with Rev. H. S. Ellis as officiating clergyman. Burial was in River Ridge cemetery.
