The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, September 5, 1991

Genevieve V. O’Connell, 93, formerly of Ionia, died Wednesday.  She was born 
the daughter of Frank and Agnes McCarthy O’Connell on June 11, 1898, in 
Ionia.  She was a former member of the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in 
Ionia.

She is survived by two nephews, Louis and Philip O’Connell, both of Grand 
Rapids; several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic 
Church in Ionia, with the Rev. Charles Hall officiating.  Burial will be in 
Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Arrangements were made by Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
