Mrs. O’Connell was born in Ireland and came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis McDonald, when she was a small child. She married William O’Connell and they made their home at 421 Lafayette street, where they lived until Mr. O’Connell’s death, eight years ago. Mrs. O’Connell remained in her home until last year when she went to Detroit to stay with her sister. Her death came following a long period of illness. Surviving her are three sisters, Mrs. Harry Burtch, of Ionia, Mrs. Chester Jackson, of Detroit, Mrs. J. Inman of Saginaw, and two brothers, James and John McDonald, of Vermontville. Remains were brought to Ionia and will be at home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burtch, 329 Center Street, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the SS Peter and Paul church Saturday morning at 8 o’clock. Burial at the family lot, Mt. Olivet cemetery.
