Ionia County News - Thursday - Jan. 31, 1935

Daniel O'Connell, 54, died at his home in Lebanon township, Thursday, January 
24, after a lingering illness. He was born February 31, 1881, in Lebanon 
township, Clinton county. In 1910 he was united in marriage to Mary Rockey and 
to this union were born eight children, five boys and three girls.

He is survived by his wife, Mary O'Connell, five sons, Bernard, Lawrence, 
Joseph, Leo and Thomas; three daughters, Helen Josephine and Roselind, all at 
home; three brothers, Dennis O'Connell of Hubbardston, Thomas O'Connell of 
Detroit and John O'Connell of Rantoul, Illinois, and two sisters, Miss Margaret 
O'Connell and Mrs. Michael O'Conner of Hubbardston.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. John's church, Hubbardston, 
Rev. Father Welch of Detroit officiating. Interment was in the St. John the 
Baptist Catholic cemetery.
