The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Tuesday, September 4, 1911

The remains of Frank O’Conner were brought to Ionia this morning from Detroit 
where he was killed last Thursday by a live wire and while in the employ of 
the Edison Electric company of that city.  Mr. O’Conner was a son of Cornelius 
O’Conner and the family were former residents of Ionia.  The young man was 37 
years of age and single.  The funeral was attended from the Church of SS. 
Peter & Paul at 9 o’clock, and the remains taken to Mount Olivet cemetery for 
burial.  The body was accompanied by relatives and friends from Detroit, 
including a delegation of linemen, who acted as pallbearers.
