Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Jun 1965

Hugh O’Connor, 85, died Saturday at Sunshine hospital in Grand Rapids.  A former
resident of Portland, he had lived the past 14 years with his sister, Mrs.
Katherine Moriarty at 511 LaGrave avenue SE, Grand Rapids.

Surviving besides his sister is cousin, Peter J. O’Connor of Ionia.

Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock Monday evening at Neller funeral home,
Portland.  Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic
church with Rev. Fr. Stephen Kolenic officiating and interment at Portland
cemetery.  Bearers will be John O’Connor, Rex O’Connor, Sam Burman, Henry M.
Leik, Gerald Moriarty and Jerry Leik.
