O'Connor, 67, of 228 N. St., Hubbardston died at the Carson City hospital Wednesday. He was born December 9, 1911, the son of Edmond O'Connor and Nora Stutt. He attended the Round school in Lebanon township of Clinton County. O'Connor married Irene Wonnacott in Fowlerville in 1953. He was a veteran of WWII serving in Africa Middle Eastern campaign being wounded in action near Mateur, Tunisia on May 5, 1943. He was also a life member of the Sheridan VFW post. Survivors include his wife Irene of Hubbardston; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Smith of Lansing; Mary Feurstein of Belding; Margaret Ann Carr of Lansing; two brothers, Edmond J. O'Connor and Thomas P. O'Connor, both of Belding. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Military services will be conducted by the Sheridan VFW Post at the Estep funeral home Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Eugene R. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic church cemetery. Pallbearers will be from the VFW post.
