The Ionia Standard, Friday, June 24, 1904

Clarence Odine, a boy only 17, sentenced in Ionia circuit, to State 
Reformatory for from 6 months to 5 years, on Nov. 21st last, for stealing 
checks from Ballon Basket company, died in Reformatory hospital on Thursday 
night, after a brief illness of cerebrospinal meningitis.  The remains were 
taken to Belding for interment.
