County News - Thursday, October 29, 1953

John Ogden, 72, died Saturday, October 24, in traverse City, where he had been 
the past years.

He was born in Portland in 1881, the son of Mr. and Ms. Frank Ogden, and had 
lived most of his life in Ionia County.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Shommie, of Huntington, Indiana; two 
brothers, Henry and Charles Ogden, both of Ionia.

Funeral service was held from Boynton's Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Heath Goodwin 
officiated and burial was in Tuttle cemetery.
