James W. O'Herron, of Crystal, Mt. Calm county son of James O'Herron of this 
village was killed by being stabbed in the abdomen during an altercation with a 
man named Jas. Kennedy, at Crystal on Saturday morning, Nov. 4th, while returning 
from a dance.  The cause of the deed was O'Heron' defence of a crippled friend, 
whom Kennedy had abused the evening before.  O'Herron lived until Sunday morning.  
He was about 28 years of age and well liked by all who knew him.  Kennedy escaped 
but has since been captured.  The remains were brought here Monday for burial and 
funeral was held on Tuesday.
