Ojala, 62, of rural Dansville, died Sunday afternoon at his home on Dansville road after a lengthy illness. He was born in Stevenson, Minn., July 9, 1907 the son of Otto and Selma Saari Ojala. He graduated from Crystal Falls high school in 1926. Upon graduating from Western Michigan university in Kalamazoo in 1930 he taught industrial arts 32 years in Muskegon Heights. Several years ago ill health forced him to retire to his fruit farm on Dansville road. Surviving are his wife Grace; one daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Warner; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lillia Parchuck of Napa, Calif.; two brothers, Harvey of Seattle, Wash.; and Edmund of Detroit. His body is a Pickens funeral home in Lake Odessa where services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
