DEATH VISITS THREE HOMES WEDNESDAY

TWO PIONEERS PASS AWAY. A YOUNG LIFE CUT SHORT  
                TWO FUNERALS SUNDAY

                     LEWIS  A. OLEARY
   Lewis Augustus Olery was born in Seneca County, Ohio, Nov. 25, 1844.  When eight
years of age he came 
with his parents to Sebewa, Michigan and settled on the homestead of one hundred and
sixty acres where the 
Olery home now stands.  He is the last of a family of seven children.
   Mr. Olery was married in 1872 to Miss Louise Petrie of Little Falls N. Y.. At
which time Mr Olery graduated 
from the telegraphic course at  Poughkeepsie University and was offered a good
position in his chosen 
profession but the wife preferring country life to city life they came west and have
remained in their vicinity 
ever since and many are the stories told regarding the pioneer life when roads were
the trails.  The deceased 
was a son of Calithoic parents but strangely enough he chose the protestant faith as
his creed and when 
about twenty years of age joined the Methodist church of which he has been a
faithful member until called to 
join the heavenly class, which call came Wednesday about 11 o'clock p.m..  Mr. Orley
calmly talked of his 
condition and has many times expressed his readiness to meet his Savior.
   He leaves a wife and an adopted daughter Mrs. Gladys Way to mourn his loss.
   The funeral sermon will be preached by his pastor at the M. E., church Sunday
officiating at 10:30, and 
burial will take place in Lakeside cemetery.
