The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, March, 2005


David W. Oliver, aged 44, of Ionia passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005. He was 
born March 14, 1961 in Nashville, Tennessee the son of Wayne and Mae (Channell) 
Oliver. He married Jane Rutz June 14, 1997 in Ionia.

He worked for Access Business Group as a manufacturing information systems 
engineer. He was a naval veteran, a past post commander of the Saranac American 
Legion and current member of the Belding American Legion.

He is survived by his loving wife Jane Oliver of Ionia; Mother Mae Oliver of 
Ionia; father Wayne and Barbara Oliver of Hendersonville, Tenn.; stepson Ty 
Rutz of Ionia; brother Mike and Victoria Oliver of Odessa, Fla., stepbrother 
Steve and LeAnn Moor of Tennessee; step-sister Stephanie and Oscar Escobar of 
Texas; mother and father-in-law Charles and Verda Rutz of Ionia. Special niece 
and nephew Crystal and Cameron and special companion, his dog Hobo.

Upon his request cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service 
held today at 11 a.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Mr. Charles Young 
officiating. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Make a Wish 
Foundation.
