Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Dec 1977

Ionia – William L. Ollam, 13, of 452 East Main, died early Saturday morning at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids following a sledding accident in Grand 
Rapids.  He was born in Lansing, June 16, 1964, the son of Ralph and Edna 
Zimmerman Ollam.  He attended school in Grand Rapids and formerly attended 
Jefferson, Rather and Hubbardston elementary schools.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Ollam of Ionia, his father Ralph Ollam of 
Lansing; one brother, Terry of Ionia; one half-sister, Mrs. Shirley Brown of 
Saranac; his grandparents Mrs. Goldie Zimmerman of Hubbardston and Mr. and Mrs. 
John Chamberlain of Florida; several aunts, uncles, cousins and one nephew.

Services are Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Myers-Roetman funeral home with Rev. Dan 
Wheeler officiating.  Burial is in Balcom cemetery.
