She was born March 19, 1883 near Orleans the daughter of Charles and Lucy Clements and was a life long resident of Orleans. Her husband, Jay Olmstead, passed away five years ago. Mrs. Olmstead was a member of the Orleans Community Club, was always active in the community life of the village and had a wide circle of friends. She leaves two sons, Don of near Ada and Dean of this city; two grandchildren, Thomas and Deanna and one brother, Lee Clements of Greenville. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday at Fitzjohn funeral home with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and burial was in Orleans cemetery beside her husband. Pallbearers were friends of her sons, Daniel Costello, Francis Costello, Forrest Johnson, Clayton Harwood, Edgar Stout and Kenneth Spaulding.
