Headline:  Orleans Postmaster Dead

Ed Olmstead, for the past 25 years postmaster at Orleans and for many years 
clerk of the township, passed away suddenly at his home in Orleans Thursday 
evening.  He was sitting in a chair when death came.  Funeral services were 
held at the home on Sunday afternoon at two o’clock, with Rev. H. S. Ellis 
officiating and burial was in Orleans cemetery.  Mr. Olmstead was a well known 
and respected citizen of Orleans and in his passing the community loses a good 
man.
