Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard – Monday, 6 January 1930

The funeral services for Jay Olmsted who lived a few days ago in Salem, O., 
were held from the North Plains Union church Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock 
and were in charge of Rev. Paul L. Stewart, Mrs. R. A. Colwell and Mrs. Thane 
Benedict furnished the musical selections.  Relatives John DeGarmo, A. C. 
Haves, Darius Stone, Bert Stone, Judson Stone and Harry Knapp served as 
bearers.  The interment took place in the North Plains cemetery.
