She was one of a family of 11 brothers and sisters. On December 25, 1883, she was married to Seymour Olmsted and for almost 59 years they have traveled life's road together. One son George was born to this union. She was converted some 40 years ago, was a member of the United Brethren church at Tamarac for many years and a faithful attendant until failing health prevented. She passed away October 26 at her home in Carlton township, Barry county, at the age of 78 years and 25 days, and leaves to mourn her departure her husband and son George, two grandsons, Carl in Woodland and Clare in the U. S. Army in England, and three great-grandchildren, aldo two brothers David in Grand Rapids, Mich, and George in Alberta, Canada, and one half-sister Mrs. Esther Parmelee at Allegan, Mich., and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her neighbors and friends. Four sisters and four brothers preceded her in death. She suffered much pain during her long illness and for the past year was confined to her home and although her eyes were closed for a time with blindness, we live in the faith that they are now open in a better, brighter land, and a haven of rest for body and soul where there is no pain or sorrow. She was a good wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her aged husband and her family. The funeral was held from Calvary United Brethren church in Lake Odessa with her pastor the Rev. J. I. Batdorff officiating, the Rev. F. W. Moxon, pastor of the church, assisting, and burial wasn't in Lakeside cemetery.
