William “Bill” Olsen, 71, of Muskegon, died Saturday, December 3, 2005.  He was 
born April 16, 1934 in Clarksville, to William Hans and Rosetta Olsen.

He married Kathleen Vega on November 27, 1985, in Exton, PA.  William was a 
member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and had been employed as a 
credit manager for 45 years with several companies in several locations.  He 
was active in the village of Sheridan community affairs, was a former mayor of 
the village of Sheridan, former president of the village council and former 
president of the lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard Olsen.  He is 
survived by his wife, Kathy; two sons, Ed and Deanna Olsen of Twin Lake, Bill 
Olsen of Belding; daughter, Marilyn and Mike Kamps of Cedar Springs; four 
grandchildren; Kelli and Brad Jelinek, Lori and Will Zuwerink, Tara Pilkinton, 
Andrea and James Hilliker; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, 
Megan Hilliker, Kevin Jelinek; brother, Ronald Olsen of Jacksonville, Fla.; 
sister, Margaret and Jack Randall of Sheridan; sister-in-law, Eleanor Olsen of 
Homestead, Fla.; and very special friend, Al Sorrell, the sole survivor of the 
three musketeers.

The funeral services is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic 
Church with Father Thomas G. Simon officiating.  Interment is in Sheridan 
Cemetery.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Clock Funeral 
Home, Muskegon.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana.
