Olshack, 63, of 330 Johnson, died Sunday at a Grand Rapids hospital. He was born September 21, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of William and Ida Lassen Olshack. Mr. Olshack married the former Gladys Jenkins at St. John’s Lutheran church in Ionia December 26, 1965 and lived in the Ionia area for 41 years. He was employed at Fisher Body in 1915 and retired in 1966 and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Willard Roy of Minnesota; four daughters, Kim Olshack at home, Mrs. John (Pat) Hall of Lansing, Mrs. Robert (Carmen) Hoppes of Portland and Mrs. Darrell (Ida) Hillabrandt of Ionia; three step-sons Donald and Bill Ward of Ionia and Terry Ward of Grand Rapids; four step-daughters Mrs. Harry (LaDonna) Black of Flint; Mrs. Linda Schnick, Mrs. Willard (Jolene) Farrell and Mrs. Bradley (Barb) Hawley of Ionia; three sisters, Mrs. Maurice Weiers of Ionia, Mrs. Evelyn Bradish of Glen Arbor and Mrs. Eleanor Tribble of Mecosta; 30 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. from St. John Lutheran church with Rev. Leo Kostizen officiating. Burial is in Highland Park cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Leddick funeral home Monday 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial fund is established for St. John’s Lutheran church. ------------ Funeral services for Willard J. Olshack, 63, of 330 Johnson, who died Sunday in Grand Rapids were Wednesday afternoon at St. John Lutheran church with Rev. Leo E. Kostizen officiating. Burial was in Highland Park cemetery. Active bearers were Greg and Maurice Weiers, Glen Mason, Fred Clemens, Ray Owens and Don Hall. Honorary bearers were Cliff Haslick, Herman Hafner, William Hermel and Martin and Ted Succop. Following services, luncheon was prepared and served to family and friends in St. John Lutheran church. Family prayer services at the Leddick funeral home preceded church services.
