Olshack, age 81, passed away on Wednesday September 6, 2006. She was born on September 30, 1924 in Mountain City, Tennessee. Gladys moved to Ionia in 1945 and worked for 20 years at American Bumper in Ionia. She married Willard J. Olshack on December 26, 1964. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1978. Gladys was a long time member of the Assembly of God Church in Ionia. Surviving Gladys are her 3 sons, Donald R. (Kathy) Ward of Ionia, William Ward of Ionia, Terry (Judy) Ward of Grand Rapids, 5 daughters LaDonna (Harry) Block of Flint, Linda Worthington of Texas, Jolene Farrell and Victor Bookie of Ionia, Barbara (Bradley) Hawley of Ionia, Kim Gamble of Ionia, 1 step son Willard (Carolyn) Olshack of Minnesota, 3 step daughters, Pat (John) Hall of Portland, Carmen (Bob) Hoppes of Portland, and Ida Hillbrandt of Traverse City. As well as 19 Grandchildren, 17 Step Grandchildren 34 Great Grandchildren 29 Step Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are her 3 brothers Robert Jenkins of West Virginia, Ray Jenkins of Tennessee, and Jack (Betty) Jenkins of Tennessee. Gladys is preceded in death by her son Ricky A. Ward, Grand daughter Christy Farrell,step grandson, Matthew Hillbrandt, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Mark Gerdes on Saturday September 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at The Assembly of God Church located at 2973 E. Bluewater Hwy. in Ionia. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home in Ionia at 220 Rich St. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately following interment at Highland Park Cemetery.
