She was born on February 6, 1943, in Ionia the daughter of Roy and Bernice (Wells)Lake. Judy married the love of her life Herbert"Herb" Olson on June 29, 1968, sharing 55 years of love and laughter together. Surviving Judy are her children Mark Olson of Tecumseh and Dawn Olson of Bangor,MI, Tammy (Scott) Poling of Tecumseh and Dawn Olson of Grand Rapids. Grandchildren Jessica Burns, Joshua Olson, Stephanie Forbes (Lafata), Stacey Lafata, Emily Lafata,Nahan Ryes, Amber Reyes, Nicholas Reyes, Andrew Reyes, Rylan Kozak, Lillian Kozak, 8 great-grandchildren and many half siblings.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herb, son Douglas Badder and brother Gerald Lake. Judy was an amazing cook and could often be found in the kitchen whipping up a batch of her famous Christmas cookies which her children often volunteered her to make for their school holiday parties.(Don't ask for the recipe as this is a family secret.) She would often take meals to friends or family if they were sick or in need. Judy aslo loved shopping, tending to the beautiful flower gardens that her husband created for her as well as birdwatching. A Memorial service will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Saturday, August 24th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ryan Morter officiating.There will be a visitation 1 hour to the service.
