Kathleen W. Olson, aged 90 of Saranac went to be with her Lord and Savior on 
Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Grand Rapids. She was born May 13, 1916 in Saranac 
the daughter of Rollie K. and Gertrude (Longfellow) Henry of Saranac. She 
lived her entire life in Saranac. Kathleen married Walter Olson November 9, 
1939 in La Grange, Indiana who preceded her in death.

After many years of service she retired from the Ionia County National Bank in 
1982. She was a long time member of Galilee Baptist Church in Saranac. We 
rejoice in our mother and grandmother's earthly life and celebrate her new 
life in heaven.

Kathleen is survived by her only son Herbert and his wife Judy Olsen of Grand 
Rapids; her four grandchildren, Dawn and Jim Kozak, Tammy and Scott Poling, 
Mark Olson, Julie Olson; sisters in law, Audrey Henry of Saranac, Velma Rich 
of Lansing and her ten great grand children whom she adored.  She was preceded 
in death by her brother Wayne Henry.

Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Friday at Galilee Baptist Church with 
Rev. Andy Mooren officiating. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends and relatives Thursday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 
Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
