The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, April 24, 1902

John O’Morrow, Sr., one of the old residents of North Odessa, died Tuesday 
morning, after a general breaking down brought on by old age.  Mr. O’Morrow 
has lived on the farm where his death occurred for about 50 years, and has 
always been held in the highest esteem by his neighbors and those who knew 
him.  He has been a hard working and influential citizen and has a wide circle 
of friends.  His wife died about two years ago.  He was the father of eleven 
children all of whom are dead but one, a son, John Jr., who is living on the 
old homestead.  The funeral was held from the Catholic church at Ionia this 
forenoon at 10 o’clock, and the remains interred in the Ionia Catholic 
cemetery.
