Cause of death was given as heart failure. It is thought that Mr. O'Neil died during the night when he was trying to summon aid after an attack. He was proprietor of the Hotel Grand at Hubbardston for many years and was very popular with his townspeople. Mr. O'Neil was born in York state in 1869 and came to Michigan when he was but six years old and has resided in this state ever since that time. He is survived by his wife Ada, a daughter, Mrs. Ida Fitzpatrick of Hubbardston and four sons, Charles of Grand Rapids, Edward and Joseph of Lansing and Paul of Sandwich. He also leaves seven grandchildren. Mr. O'Neil has served his community in various capacities, having been highway commissioner of Lebanon township and also trustee of the village of Hubbardston. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been announced.
