March 15, 1928 Henry O'Neill, of Hubbardston, Buried Henry O'Neill, proprietor of Hotel Grand, died Saturday morning March 10, in Ford Hospital, Detroit, where he went seven weeks ago for treatment. Mr. O'Neill was born in North Plains township 62 years ago, and spent his entire life in this vicinity. A few years ago he bought the Hotel Grand, and by his genial disposition made many friends with the traveling public, who were always sure of a warm welcome and a good meal when in Hubbardston. While in the hospital his same happy manner won for him many friends among the doctors and the nurses, who came from the different floors to see him. Flowers were one of his hobbies, and all who drive through town would stop and admire them. His friends did not forget this while he was sick, for there was always a fresh bouquet in his room, sent by his friends in the city and through out the state. He was a brother of the late Dr. C. T. O'Neill, of Middleton, and Edward O'Neill of Hubbardston. Funeral services were held Tuesday in St. John's Catholic church with Rev. Fr. Flanigan in charge, and interment was made in the family lot beside his father and mother. Relatives and friends were present from Chicago, Detroit, Lansing, Ionia, St. Johns and Mt. Pleasant.
