July 7, 1932 MRS. FLORA ORNDORFF FOUND DEAD IN CHAIR Had Enjoyed Callers in Afternoon, Leaves Brothers and Sisters, One Foster Child. Funeral Tuesday. When a sister Miss Allie Lepard called on her sister Mrs.Flora Orndorff Tuesday morning, she found her sitting in a chair but life had fled. Some neighbors had called in the afternoon Monday and all had been interested in the flowers in the garden. Apparently Mrs.Orndorff had gone into the house, sat down and had fallen asleep, never to awaken in this world. The doors were open as they had been in the afternoon. For sometime she had not been real well but was able to get around and care for herself, doing her own work. The foster daughter, Mrs. Bentrice Bauman of Chicago was called home and the funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the home on North Main street. Mrs. Orndorff has lived here all her life. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago. She leaves four brothers and two sisters, Charles, Lafayette, Bert and Shirley Lepard, and twos sisters Mrs. Joseph Wortley and Miss Allie Lepard. Rev. A.T. Cartland preached and Mr and Mrs R.W. Goodemoot and Miss Helen Goodsell furnished the music and her pall bearers were her nephews. Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery.
