Despondency over continued ill health is believed to have been responsible for the suicide of Wilson Orser, aged Belding resident, who took his own life early Friday morning. He committed the act shortly after midnight by placing the muzzle of a shotgun to his head and pulling the trigger. His body was discovered by members of the family who were awakened by the report of the gun in a closet where the aged man had gone. He is survived by the widow and the following children, Mrs. Nettie Keener and Hal Orser, Ionia; Howard and Leo Orser, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. G. W. Newille, of Indiana; and Mrs. Alfred Jewell, of Belding. Orser had been in poor health for several months.
