Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 12 Aug 1957

Hal C. Orser, 65, died at the Schriver rest home in St. Louis where he had been
a patient for four weeks.  He retired in August 1955 as a rural mail carrier in
Ionia.  Since that time he has lived in Barryton.  He was a life member of Ionia
lodge F and AM No. 36 and also the Elks lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Annis; daughter, Mrs. Robert Smith of Wayne; two
sisters, Mrs. G.A. Newville of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Alfred Jewel of
Belding; two brothers, Leo of Grand Rapids and Howard of Belding; 14
grandchildren, four step-children, Mrs. Edward Bieri of Grand Rapids, Elmer and
Gordon Green of Flint and Richard Green of St. Louis.  A son Gary died in infancy.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton funeral home Tuesday
afternoon at 1:30 with the Rev. Howard A. Smith of Albion, officiating. 
Graveside services will be conducted by the Masonic Lodge of Ionia.
