Richard A. Osborne, 67, of Pewamo, passed away Wed., Aug. 29, 2001, at the 
Carson City Hospital.  He was born the son of Frank and Iva (Fenn) Osborne on 
Nov. 14, 1933, in Matherton.

He married the former Mary Ellen Williams on May 1, 1954.  Richard worked at 
Federal Forge in Lansing for 42.5 years.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary; three sons, Kenneth (Debi) Osborne of 
Fowler, Richard Osborne, of Pewamo, and Joe (Rocci) Osborne of Eaton Rapids; 
one daughter Mary (Mike) Melton of Hubbardston, 9 grandchildren and one great-
grandson; two brothers, Stanley (Fran) Osborne, of Hubbardston, and Gerald 
Osborne of Matherton; one sister Betty (Bill) Buchanan, of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rodney in 1969, one grandson Steve 
Williams in 1996, two sisters and one brother.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Carson 
City United Methodist Church, 119 E. Elm St., Carson City, with Rev. Kenneth 
Nash officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the 
Salvation Army.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.
