The deceased leaves behind him one daughter and two sons, all of whom are married. The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 under the auspices of the Smyrna Maccabees, the funeral sermon being preached by Rev. D. E. Hills of Greenville, interment in Smyrna cemetery. Mr. Osgood was a genial wholesouled man who will be greatly missed in the community where he resided so many years, and with his death another of the pioneers who helped to hew the country out of the virgin forest has joined the silent majority.
