The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, December 24, 1943
Funeral services for Mrs. George G. Ostrander, 64, of Rt. 2 Ionia were held 
Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Baptist church. Rev. George 
Woolcock officiated and burial was in Highland Park cemetery.  In charge of 
floral arrangements were Miss Elizabeth Dunnett and Miss Helen Dunnett.  
Pallbearers were William Hecht and Salem Ostrander of Ionia, Roy Jones of 
Lansing and William Massey of Grand Rapids

Among those who attended from away were Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Smith of Flint; 
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jones of 
Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jones and Mr. and Mrs. William Massey of Grand 
Rapids; Mrs. Joseph Bour and daughter of Muskegon and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gee 
of Muir.  Mr. Ostrander, a patient at the university of Michigan hospital, Ann 
Arbor, was able to attend services for his wife.
