The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, June 29, 1937
Funeral services for Chester Ostrander were held Tuesday, June 22, from the 
Presbyterian church in Muir at 2:00 o’clock.  He died Sunday, June 20, after 
an illness of nearly four years.  He was 52 years of age, and was born in 
Sebewa township in 1885.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sowrey, of Muir, and Mrs. Dorothy 
Gee, also of Muir; two sons, Harold, of Ionia, and Salem at home, and seven 
grandchildren.

Bearers were Wilbur Marsh, Bert Morgan, George Ostrander, Ernest Ludwick, 
Clarence Fletcher, and Kenneth Warren.  Services were conducted by Rev. 
Chester Barr, of North Plains, and interment was in the Muir cemetery.
