Lake Odessa Wave- Thurs. December 11, 1902

The remains of Lansford W.Otto, who died last week at his home near Boyne Falls, 
were brought to Odessa and the funeral held from the Tamarack church last 
Wednesday. Rev. I.H.Mourer, preaching the sermon. 

Mr.Otto was born in Naples,Steuben county, New York, Nov. 2, 1818. He was 
married to Cordelia Roberts in May 1852. To this union 13 children were born, 10 
boys and 3 girls, eight of whom are dead. Two of those gone were drowned in 
Jourdan Lake many years  ago. Mrs. Otto died four years ago. Mr. Otto died in 
the faith of Jesus Christ with a hope of everlasting life. His life has been one 
of affliction and bereavement. He is the last of a family of 20 children, all of 
the same parents.
