She was the wife of James Ovenhouse and had been in poor health from dropsy for nearly a year. On Friday Mr. Ovenhouse says she was feeling quite well and assisted him in getting the dinner. About two o’clock in the afternoon she sat out of doors telling Mr. Ovenhouse that the sunshine did her good. Mrs. Francisco, a neighbor, visited with her a few minutes while she was there. A short time later Mr. Ovenhouse, who was doing up the work, heard a fall and discovered her on the ground. Neighbors came quickly when he called for assistance and Dr. Stanton was also summoned, but death had overtaken her. She was married to Mr. Ovenhouse in March, 1914. Her maiden name being Mary Rogers. She had no relatives in this country and was fifty-six years old. Her death will make a lonely home for her husband. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ, Rev. C.V. Pease officiated with the burial service in the Otisco cemetery.
