Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1970

CLARKSVILLE- A longtime resident of Clarksville, John Overholt, 90, route 1, 
died Tuesday morning at Grand Rapids Osteopathic hospital.

Born in Elkhart, Ind., July 12, 1880, he was the son of Jonas and Catherine 
Neusbum Overholt.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two sons, George Overholt of Freeport and 
Homer of Topeka, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. E.C. Emrich of Grand Rapids; four 
step-daughters and six step sons; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was a member of Bowne Mennonite church of Clarksville where services will be 
at 3:30 pm Friday with Rev. Tobias Schrock officiating.

The body is at Pickens funeral chapel in Clarksville until Friday forenoon when 
it is to be taken to the church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
