CHARLES W.OVERLEY DIED OF PNEUO IA
Lived in Lake Odessa About 35 Years. Leave Widow and three Sons. Funeral Sunday 
Afternoon.

Charles W.Overley came to Lake Odessa about the year 1901 and practiced 
carpentering. At that time several houses and some business buildings were 
erected then came a long period of building inactivity. Mr.Overley then went 
into the large Tew store as a shoe repairman. He was there several years.

Twenty-two years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis but recovered much 
activity. Two years ago he had a slight stroke but that was also mastered. A few 
weeks recently he contracted pneumonia from which he died last Friday at his 
home here on Jordan Lake avenue.

Besides his widow he leaves three sons, seven grandchildren, one great-
grandchild, a sister Mrs Ada Cramer of Lansing, and many nieces and nephews.
                                    OBITUARY
Charles W. Overley, son of Mr and Mrs C.Westley Overley, was born August 22, 
1863 and died Friday, May 8, 1936 at the age of 72 years, eight months, and 17 
days.

He was united in marriage to S. Augusta Cramer on the 10th of January, 1887. To 
this union were born four children, John W. now of Lansing, Willis V.of Lake 
Odessa, Maude (who died in infancy) and Lyle B.of Detroit.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.L.Boadway at he home Sunday afternoon, 
May 10, and interment was in Danby cemetery.

many kindnesses shown during the illness and death of our husband and father.
