Emor Haskell, daughter of Dennis and Betsey Haskell, was born Nov. 28, 1890 in Woodland township, Barry County, Michigan and died April 3, 1919, aged twenty eight years, four months and five days. She was united in marriage with Clark Oversmith Nov. 20, 1912. Two children were born to this union, Myrtle Emor, aged five years and Lorren, age three years. At the age of twelve years she was converted under the preaching of S.E. and S.A. Lane at the Tamarac United Brethren church of which she became a member. Her home for the past few years being in the Holmes M.E. Church neighborhood. She became a worker there and at the time of her passing away she was president of the Ladies Aid Society and the teacher of a boys class in the Sunday School. Besides her husband and two children, she leaves her aged parents and grandmother, a brother, Clay Haskell and many other relatives and friends. She died of pneumonia following an attack of influenza and because of this the funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. B.J. Youngs. Burial was in Lake Odessa cemetery.
