Overstreet, 65, died very suddenly at the home of his sister, Mrs. Sarah Smith, Johnson street, Monday noon while assisting in the care of another sister, Miss Eliza Overstreet. Mr. Overstreet was helping a doctor lift his sister into a bed after she had been taken seriously ill. Turning from the bed he dropped to the floor dead. He had been in poor health for some time. Until a few months ago he lived on a farm in Canada which he sold to come to Ionia to make his home with his two sisters. He is survived by one son, Clinton J. Overstreet, of Ypsilanti, a brother, James Overstreet, of Grand Rapids, and two sisters, Miss Overstreet, and Mrs. Sarah Smith, of Ionia. No funeral arrangements will be made until work is received from the son at Ypsilanti. Double funeral services for Miss Eliza Overstreet and Edward Overstreet will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Church of Christ. The brother and sister, whose death occurred only a few hours apart, the brother's Monday and the sisters' Tuesday, will rest in caskets exactly alike. Burial will be made in a single grave in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
