Illness Fatal to Barney Owen

Passed Away at home of Son in Lansing; was 83 Years of Age

Funeral services for Bernard Owen were held today in Lansing and the body 
later brought to Portland for burial.  His death occurred in that city Tuesday.

Mr. Owen, who was 83 years of age, was a pioneer farmer of this vicinity, for 
many years conducting a farm east of Portland on Lookingglass avenue.  Two 
years ago his adopted son, Joseph, who had been making his home with him, 
moved to Lansing, and was accompanied by the aged man.
