Owen, 77, died early Sunday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. James H. Little, in Palo. He had been ill at her home for five weeks, moving there from Stanwood where he had lived several years. He was born November 23, 1866, in Trumansburg, New York, and moved to Michigan at the age of 16. He spent most of his life near Palo. He was married February 11, 1903 to Hermane Durkee, who died in 1930. He was a member of the Masons and the Maccabees and had been affiliated with the Methodist church. Mr. Owen was a carpenter by trade. His only survivor is the sister Mrs. Little. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the James Little residence in Palo. Burial will be in Palo cemetery. The body has been taken to the Little residence to repose.
