Stephanie A. Owens, 62, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at her 
home. She was born Oct. 7, 1950 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Ted M. and 
Marlene A. (Dieterman). She loved sewing for friends and family, knitting, 
crocheting, camping, sightseeing, cooking and baking and helping others. She 
retired, worked for several HVAC businesses including co-owning Owens Heating 
and Cooling for 16 years. 

Stephanie is survived by her husband James R.; daughter Joanna M. Owens of 
Fenwick; son and daughter-in-law Shawn A. and (Lisa) Haring of Swartz Creek; 
two grandchildren, Taylor Sylvia Wood of Ionia and Katie Lynn Misner of 
Fenwick; special aunt and uncle Larry and (Shirley) Dieterman of Winnona, 
Minn.; numerous Dieterman cousins; brother-in-law Terry R. Owens of Ionia; 
sisters-in-law Carol R. and (Raymond) Sanocki of Ionia, Claire E. and (Richard) 
Crutts of Owosso, Patricia L. and (Johnny) Cherpes of Ionia and Debra S. and 
(David) Montgomery of Ionia; sister Tamera and (Randy) Herington of Kalamazoo, 
Autumn and (Skip) Burdick of Apollo Beach, Fla., Rorie Vertucci of San Diego, 
Calif., and Melany and (Harold) Haring of Kalamazoo.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Marlene and Ted Loomis, 
mother-and father-in-law Donna M. and Ray W. Owens, grandfather William 
Dieterman and her great aunt Margaret Smith.

A time of remembrance will be held from noon  to 4 p.m. Sept. 8, 2013 at Three 
Seasons Campground, 6956 Fuller Road, in Greenville.

Memorial contributions can be made in Stephanie's name to Pennock Hospice, 1230 
W. State St., Hastings, MI 49058.
