Lake O. Wave, Thurs. June 5, 1980

WOODLAND-  Myrtle Owens, 101, of Woodland, died at the Provincial house in 
Hastings where she had been a patient for the past several years.

She was born march 21, 1879, in Dart County, Ohio, the daughter of Simon and 
Caroline Sears Shopbell. She attended school in Aurelius, Mich. She married 
George Owens in 1905 in Woodland.

she and her husband lived in Leslie for 50 years until 1964 when they moved to 
Woodland.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Woodland.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Dull of Holly Hills, Fla., five 
grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. 

Services were held at the Pickens-Koop Funeral Chapel in lake Odessa with the 
Rev. W.I. McGinnis and Robert Osis officiating. Burial was in Leslie.
